PACE Digitek has secured multiple contracts worth ₹702 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation for a 250 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project at Maithon in Jharkhand.
The contracts cover the complete scope of the project, including the supply of plant and equipment with mandatory spare parts, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, and a 12-year comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) agreement. The EPC scope includes design, engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of the battery energy storage system.
The supply and EPC works are scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the receipt of the letter of award, while the O&M contract will remain in force for 12 years after commissioning.
The project further strengthens PACE Digitek’s position in India’s rapidly growing battery energy storage sector and supports the country’s transition toward a more resilient and renewable-powered electricity network. It also represents a significant addition to India’s expanding energy storage infrastructure aimed at improving grid stability and renewable energy integration.
